Our Mission
Our goal is to create a market that will meet needs and fill gaps in our rural community. We aim to provide healthy options for food and household items, unique and fun items to make each season special, as well as a bit of convenience. We believe in high quality and safe, simple ingredients whenever possible.
Work Together, Play Together
We are the Bates family! A farming and homeschooling family of six. A common phrase in the homeschooling community is that you get to "do life" with your kids. We always say "work together, play together" in our home. However, God recently brought it to our attention that we were no longer living that out very well at this stage in our life. So, in a giant leap of faith, we are transitioning from larger scale grain farming to a smaller scale market farm, with a brick-and-mortar store. We are very thankful that we have been given this opportunity to provide for our family in a way that allows us to work/serve alongside each other, while also producing healthy options for our community!
From Our Family to Yours
What We Do
We realize not everyone has the time or resources to grow their own food, cook from scratch or keep a stocked pantry like past generations. However, we can all see the benefit of shorter supply chains, simpler ingredients and avoiding pesticides. Our market can help provide more convenience in these areas or it can just be an extension of your own garden, pantry or kitchen. We can help you bring home fresh baked bread and seasonal items or provide the quality ingredients for you to make them yourself! Whatever the need is, we hope that you get the sense of home and family when shopping with us!
